Our focus is recovery. It means a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.
We assist with the care and treatment of individuals suffering with substance use disorders and self sabotaging behaviors while facilitating advancement of their functional life patterns. We are committed to work with patients every step of the way to attain stable sustained recovery.
Modern life can keep us so busy that we forget/avoid the essential need to stop and check in with ourselves in order to take care of our own emotional needs.
At Center for Behavioral Wellness in Nashville, we believe that consulting a counselor, psychotherapist/psychiatrist should be as accessible and as normal as developing your career, getting help for a physical problem, or going to the gym to get healthy. Just as we take care of our bodies and physical health, a vital element of self-care is devoting focused time/energy to exploring and understanding our thoughts and feelings.
Whatever is going on in your life - whether you are dealing with addiction, self-sabotaging behaviors, a period of transition, want to improve your relationships, or stuck in a rut - we will engage you in an enlightening one-to-one conversation marked by curiosity, respect, and understanding. You may want help for dealing with substance abuse/dependency, or perhaps you want to develop and self-improve.
Center for Behavioral Wellness can help when life feels unbearably difficult, and we can also help make a decent life even better. You will work collaboratively to become more aware of patterns in your life and enact changes to lessen your suffering and increase your enjoyment of life.
"It is a privilege to be able to assist my patients' return to behavioral wellness, stable sustained recovery and functional life. I abide by the Hippocratic as my priority: "First Do NO Harm". It is my expectation that a patient will be willing to stay in touch with me and be honest; if that can happen we can make progress with a treatment plan. Empathy and kindness with direct involvement as a medical doctor in my patients' health is my goal with all patients."
